Description
This piece pays nostalgic tribute to a lovely, secluded place in the mountains between France and Spain. The house glimmers with sunshine and birdsong, and faces a ridge that winds its gradual, majestic way up to the high peaks.
"Villa Amélie" is part of an ongoing suite of piano pieces—"In the Pyrenees"—inspired by the resonance and mystical beauty of that region of France.
